However, while milk kefir offers an additional probiotic blend loaded with essential vitamins and minerals and is a good source of protein, water kefir too offers these same nutrients with a slightly less amount of protein since it lacks the protein from milk.

Talking of managing diabetes with Kefir drinks, it is known to have a moderate to low glycemic index and works wonders in controlling blood sugars.
